Cortland Regional Medical Center Receives Highest Ranking for Value-Based Payment (VBP) Program

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has given Cortland Regional Medical Center the highest ranking in New York State for Value-Based Payment program and was ranked 56 out of 2,800 hospitals nationwide. Over the past three years, Cortland Regional has continually placed in the top ten for New York State.

The CMS Value-Based Payment program assigns hospitals scores based on implementing improvements and providing a high level of care, which are based on risk-adjusted mortality and patient outcomes, patient experience, patient safety, and overall efficiency.
