Rural Health Network of South Central New York launched their Fruit and Vegetable Prescription Program (FVRx) through funding from Care Compass Network’s Innovation Fund Program. The Fruit and Vegetable Program was developed to prevent and manage chronic diet-related diseases in the adult Medicaid population. The FVRx program is working to increase the knowledge, skills, and behaviors around the consumption of health food by improving financial access to healthy food options.
Year to date the FVRx program has 89 participants enrolled with 79 participants that have completed the full 6-month program.
