Integrating Primary Care and Behavioral Health: Making it Work in Our Primary Care Clinic

Join Northeast Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine, one of Care Compass Network’s 3ai Primary Care & Behavioral Health Integration partners, as they share their journey of integrating the Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) model into their busy primary care clinic during this interactive webinar.

Dr. Jessica Conner, Behavioral Health Consultant, and Melissa Gagnon, Office Manager, will share how they applied the PCBH model, scope of practice, workflows, schedules, note templates, documentations, and the delivery of the brief intervention. Participants will also learn about the similarities and differences between a traditional therapist role vs the role of the Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC), financial sustainability, and the positive impact on the primary care team and patients.

Speaker: Jessica Conner, Psy.D, Behavioral Health Consultant, Northeast Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine.

Dr. Conner graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Psychology and Chemistry. She obtained her Master’s degree and Doctorate of Psychology at the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in Northern Virginia. Dr. Conner completed an internship at the University of Rochester Medical Center including a rotation at Highland Family Medicine. Her Postdoctoral Residency was completed at Cornell University specializing in integrated care as a Behavioral Health Consultant within their primary care clinic on campus. Dr. Conner has experience working with people across the lifespan in primary care, hospital, community mental health, private practice, and forensic settings. Her areas of clinical interest include sleep, behavior changes, stress management, and transgender and gender diverse health. Dr. Conner is a Licensed Psychologist in the state of New York. When she’s not working, she enjoys reading and hiking with her wife and child.
