Topic: How a PPS helped 34 providers and CBOs survive the COVID-19 lockdown
Description: This presentation will provide an overview of how the Care Compass Network (CCN) Performing Provider System (PPS) was able to rapidly implement an emergency funding program designed to help clinical providers and non-clinical community-based organizations in the Southern Tier survive the COVID-19 lockdown. The COVID-19 Telehealth Assistance Program (CTAP) was created to leverage CCN’s extensive telehealth experience along with $750,000 in funding to help 34 partners quickly implement various forms of telehealth systems. This allowed them to continue operating and providing critical services to the most vulnerable populations, all while adhering to the highly restrictive social distancing requirements that were in place for several months. The vast majority of these partners will continue these telehealth operations post-COVID in order to take advantage of the improved efficiencies and provide those whom they serve with more flexibility and greater access to services.
