On July 25, 2019 ACBC opened their second location in Broome County providing increased access to treatment for those in need. Those without reliable transportation will now be able to walk or take the bus to the new treatment center.
In addition to providing treatment and recovery services, the center is working with clients to address trauma as well as the trauma experienced due to Social Determinants of Health. ACBC believes that by addressing trauma their clients are experience, will help them achieve better outcomes. For example, the center will be connecting their clients to primary care services and dental providers, find reliable transportation, stable housing, food, and clothing as needed.
ACBC was awarded grant funding through Care Compass Network’s Innovation Fund program which along with additional funding from New York State, helped ACBC open this new facility in Endicott, New York.
